Linking two prompts with one post.
Five Sentence Fiction: Forgotten
Silly Sunday
My apologies to Rhonda. Today, I have a linking problem.
Following the Scent of Keys
Where did I leave my keys? Did I lose them down the FedEx chute while dropping off the package? No, I drove home, stuffed them in my pocket and then left them in a burglarproof place. After pinpointing their location in my head, I lost it when my dog ambushed me at the fridge. If only he could pick up the scent of nickel, plated brass instead of another dog’s ass.
I’m participating in Lillie McFerrin’s weekly Five Sentence Fiction prompt — Forgotten.
I hope I’m not breaking blogging protocol by double linking.
I’m also linking to Silly Sunday since this piece is rather — . Silly Sunday is hosted by Rhonda of Laugh-Quotes.
Bwahahahahahahaha. Dogs know what is important to them. Yep, they do and your keys are not on their radar.
I linked you up over at my place.
Have a terrific day. 🙂
Yep, they have their priorities. It usually involves food and tummy rubs.
LOL I was picturing it as i read it 😉
Have a fantabulosa week 🙂
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it. Have a fantabulosa week, too. : )
That was a hoot and a half! I don’t think any protocol was broken and a good time was had by all. 🙂
Thanks Jayne. This time I opted for levity rather than doom and gloom. It felt good.
LOL, could you train him to find keys? Maybe you need some scented keys 🙂
It would be more cost effective than buying an electronic key finder.
Happy Monday Gorgeous! It is the same as double dipping!
I love a three day weekend-now if only the kiddo wasn’t fighting off a cold!
Hope this finds you doing super awesome and hopefully enjoying some rest and sunshine!
Ciao ciao for now~
Sincerely,
Cherelynn

P.S. Remember, TEEN WEEK starts Feb 1st and the giveaways are HUGE plus celeb written teen posts!
Feel better. Hope you can get away soon. I’ve got residual sunshine in my mind.
If I had a nickle for every time I couldn’t remember where I left my keys, I would be a billionaire!
How ’bout a website? Stories of abandoned and lost keys.
Our own minds seem to have only tenuous hold on thoughts half the time and it doesn’t take much to startling them off into flight. A dog on the other hand has basically 2 thoughts: Food, food, food. How about some food? Oh wait, squirrel! Be right back. Okay I’m back, food…
Hah! Up where I live, chasing deer is a great dog sport. Dogs do not discriminate in the size of animals or vehicles they chase.
Wonderfully funny. I don’t think their is a protocol, just a great idea. Two birds, one stone. Sorry I am late, been traveling without internet.
Hi,
No problem. I’m still catching up. Getting away was great but with work and stuff, I’ve been late in visiting folks blogs. So, please don’t apologize. Life always gets in the way.
The dog knows what matters the most – where the fridge is!
Hah! Right now, I’d have to agree with my dog. I’m starved.
Hi there! I’m stopping by from bloggers.com where I’m a new follower & I’m following ya via twitter too. Your dog looks extremely happy in all that snow. I hope you guys are having a great Thursday night! Please stop by to say hi if you get a chance.

Hi Nikki.
Thanks for stopping by and for following. Yes, the dogs love the snow but hate the freezing temperatures even with their form-fitting fur coats. I will stop by during the weekend. At work, having lunch.
Have a great day!
Nothing more annoying than looking for lost keys…i keep losing them all the time…funny five sentence fiction…you get better by the day 🙂 enjoyed reading it.
Hi Kasa,
It’s so great to see you. Thank you. I think I need GPS for my keys. But then I’d probably lose the GPS device.
🙂 I have perfected the art of losing things too…can’t remember a thing.
Your blog looks wonderful and technologically advanced. A lot of changes…back after a long time…plenty to read 🙂
Thank you, Kasa.
If only I were technologically advanced.
The post is a hoot!
Thanks Joyce!
